Beeswax, oil paint, found papers and drawing are all employed in these works. The dresses are remnants of memory, of childhood, of growing up. They are layered in process and materials, and as the paintings develop, I find that they become complex, each with it's own echoes of meaning, and each unique in mood and character. Each painting is comprised of many layers, and the beeswax allows a transparency and texture that is wonderful. Enjoy the work.
